Electronics warehouse store attracted customers with a big flying saucer crashed into its facade, and more spaceships hanging above the merchandise.

Went because I love the show Roswell and ended up finding some trinkets better priced than Amazon, and also some smiles!

Stopped to get a cell phone car charger and never could figure out what was going on with this store. It kinda looks like a bowling alley from the outside, but the inside is just a bizarre electronics warehouse with spaceships hanging from the ceiling. Only worthwhile if you need some cheap stereo components. OH, and careful in the parking lot - it is basically at the end of the Burbank Airport runway - I think a Southwest jet left tire marks on the roof of my car.
[Sasha, 06/09/2004]Fry's Electronics has a themed electronic's store in Beautiful Downtown (really by the airport) Burbank based upon 1950s movies of aliens invading Earth. There is a flying saucer crashed into the building above the front door.
Inside, US Army figures fight aliens. Over in the computer section is a giant octopus holding up computer displays. In the back corner of this large warehouse type store is a cafe. It is designed like a drive in movie theater. There are three 50's convertible automobiles made into booths where you can eat and watch B&W movies on a large screen TV.
[Dan, 09/01/2000]Across the street from the Burbank Airport, is an interesting retail theme. It's Fry's Electronics, on the SW corner Vanowen and Hollywood Way. The front of the building is constructed to look like a flying saucer crashed into it. There's half a flying saucer sticking out of the building, with tromp l'oeil cracks, shadows, and burn marks painted/sculpted in. Inside, the store is themed like some sort of '50s science fiction movie.
