The World's Largest Beaver is right on the highway.
[Matt, 08/11/2022]
When traveling to the Alaska Highway earlier this summer, we came across a very large beaver sculpture located in the town of Beaverlodge, Alberta. The Beaver is 15 tall, 18 feet long, and sits atop a 20 foot long log. The sculpture weighs 3000 pounds.
This unique landmark was built in 2004 to help celebrate the town's 75th Anniversary. There is a double-sided sign that stands next to the beaver that displays information including the history of the town, the Beaver sculpture, and habitat information for wild beavers.
