Every time we are in this part of Texas we stop at the Midpoint Cafe. The ugly pies alone are worth it. There are no signs for the Cafe or Midpoint on I-40, so watch for the Adrian exit. Friendliest staff.

The cafe has a lot of interesting things to see. We really enjoyed it. Good food also. Not just a line in the road.

The Midpoint Cafe is open, but with reduced hours during COVID-19 (10-3, I think). Great selection of Route 66 merchandise.

[Lisa, 10/17/2018]Probably a casualty of asphalt repaving.
