Elkton, Maryland: Golden Buddha (Gone)

Eight feet tall, 1,000 pounds, it sat on a platform in front of a Chinese restaurant. When the owner closed the business and retired in April 2014, she took the Buddha with her as a backyard companion.

Golden Buddha - Torched

Unfortunately, the Golden Buddha in Northeast MD at San Lin Bar and Grill, was set on fire by vandals in January, 2000 and removed.

Directions:
Sanlin East Chinese Restaurant. On the north side of US Hwy 40/Pulaski Hwy, about three miles west of Elkton at the bottom of a large hill just east of Ephrata Ave.
