- Lincoln Log Cabin State Historic Site. I-57 exit 190-A (Mattoon/Charleston). Drive east on Hwy 16, then after a half-mile turn right onto CR-870E/Lerna Rd. After five miles the road bends left and becomes E. Lincoln Hwy Rd. Follow this another seven miles southeast to the Park.

The purpose of the site is to show American farming and lifestyle in 1840s, not the cabin itself. Period dressed interpreters are on the Lincoln Farm Wednesday-Sunday from May 1 through Sept. 30, though the site and Visitor Center are open year round. Several special events like Sheep To Clothing and Harvest Frolic attract many visitors.
Other nearby Lincoln historic attractions include the Moore Home, Shiloh Cemetery, and Lincoln-Douglas Debate Museum in Charleston.
