Mini-Cake museum

[Collection moved to New Orleans, 2012] The Mini-Cake museum is at 432 Lola Avenue. Mrs. Frances Kuyper turned her 2-story home into a .. well, a mini-cake museum.. No use talking about it, you need to see it. But she is threatening to move the whole thing to Branson, MO. She has this idea for a giant layer-cake shaped maxi-cake museum there.

[Chris Nichols, 07/17/1997]

First opened in 1994, the museum had over 150 cakes on display -- some up to 65 years old. The decorative frosting is hardened, and bases are made of plastic, not flour. On the East Coast, you can see two rock-hard pieces of Grover Cleveland's 1886 wedding cake at his birthplace in Caldwell, NJ.
