Ice Cream Cone Building

This was the first Twistee Treat ever built and opened; it's also the oldest still in operation.

[BoomersOTR, 08/13/2018]

Founded in 1983, the company went bankrupt in the 1990s, but franchisees continued the brand. New Twistee Treats started popping up with corporate oversight in 2010.

Twistee Treat

There are a number of Twistee Treat stores on the Florida West coast. This is the Ft. Meyers branch, which is still in operation selling frozen custard. It is located north of town on US-41 Business. There is another in Port Charlotte, FL on Veteran's Highway about a mile east of US-41.

There is also an abandoned Twistee Treat in Sarasota, also on US-41, north of town on the east side of the highway.
