World's Largest Confederate Flag was MIA (missing in action). Driving on the interstate I noticed the battle flag had been replaced. In its place was a mainly white flag with a large red strip and a small battle flag within it.
What happened? Was there some type of truce that I didn't know about? Did the snowbirds win a protest? Nah, the battle flag was being repaired. In its place was the "Third National Flag" of the Confederacy. I got a history lesson of the flags from "Critter" McDaniels, who is a part of the color guard. I just happened to visit while they were there to put back the flag... "The World's Largest Confederate Flag."
