The latest version of the "Danger Falling Cows" sign commemorates an instance where, one Sunday, a rouge cow escaped its confines and fell off of the top of Rocky Point, landing on the front of a van being driven back from church. The two people in the van were tremendously frightened, but uninjured. The van, (amazingly enough), managed to make it another half mile before succumbing from the rather extensive damage. The cow was badly injured, and became hamburgers.
The Manson High School newspaper immediately changed it's name to the "Falling Cow Gazette," and retains that title today.
[Greg Nord, 04/16/2018]After going missing for a while, the "Danger: Falling Cows" sign has reappeared, better than ever. Now it looks much less homemade, and more worthy of its place among proper roadside alerts.

In 2007, a stud cow from Spokane got lost in the area, only to be found on the roof of an unfortunate car passing by below the cliff from which the cow fell.
A sign cropped up by the spot where the cow fell, warning future roadsters of the danger they too might face. The sign can be seen on the lakeside of SR 150 between Chelan and Manson, near some cliffs that are decidedly un-cow-friendly.
