Statue isn't there. A huge guitar sign is now in its place.
[Becky Hall, 12/22/2016]We just went by today and this cool statue is not here anymore! The bar is still here, but no country western singer sadly!

The cowboy seems to be reclining on the fence. He has seen better days -- strapped down and faded, but seems perfectly at home in front of the Idle Hour. It is a true Music Row throwback bar. There is no telling who has sidled up to that bar in its history. Not trendy. Not exactly welcoming looking on the exterior. Definitely old school.
Doesn't get the publicity of Tootsie's, but could be equally as important in the history of music in this town.

I checked up on Bobby. He's in the same spot, a bit sun-bleached and his clothes are getting moldy, but he fits right in! He is propped up and triple-strapped down, so I don't think he's going anywhere. Easy to check out on a quiet Sunday afternoon. Grab a drink at Bobby's Idle Hour; you're not doing anything important anyway.

This is a Country and Western Singer who is about 15 feet tall. He's located on the real Music Row in Nashville - 16th Ave. South, five blocks from Vanderbilt University, at a bar called Bobby's Idle Hour Lounge.
