This bridge is worth a stop. It is on the list of San Diego historical sites. It bounces and sways when pedestrians walk across it. Pedestrians are protected from falling off by some cables along the sides of the bridge.

There is an old suspension bridge at the corner of Spruce & Front street. Just a few miles north of downtown. It crosses over a gorgeous ravine (approx 70 feet) I had just recently heard about it and I don't know the North Park area too well so I just drove around semi-aimlessly. There is also a not as interesting foot bridge off of 4th which I did find by mistake first.
The bridge does sway when there are a few people walking on it - so it kind of freaked me out - but it is in good shape and sturdy so it's totally safe. The bridge is in a quiet area and I only saw 4 other people while I was there.
