Big Green Dinosaur

I stopped by to see the dinosaur but he wasn't accepting any visitors. The area is closed off with fencing due to a construction project.

Not very green anymore, a little faded from the sun. But still cool to take pics.

We passed this dinosaur on our way to Corpus Christi for the weekend. He seems happily at home in the small town park.

Big Green Dinosaur

After a visit to the nearby Tee Pee Motel we ran into a great big green dinosaur at the entrance to "Dinosaur Park" in downtown Wharton. I think it's a brontosaur. Very friendly looking fellow. It's facing the river south of town. Don't know how long it's been here, but it looks pretty old and in need of a new coat of paint. But given that the park seems named after him he doesn't seem in too much danger.
