Formal name is Russell T. Mechanism, created by artist Chris Nethercutt out of recycled junk over a six year period, and erected in 2008. Rusty is some sort of plant shift worker -- he wears a cap and carries a metal lunchbox in his right hand. Nethercutt built in some goofy details: a spigot in case Rusty gets "water on the knee," a wrench for a "wrenched ankle," a bug in his ear, and more. "The Factory" is a reuse of the old building, now filled with shops and restaurants.
