Solomon's Castle

OMG, of course you should get off the main road, take the beautiful country roads to this unique special place. What a talented man. Nice people work at this place. The tour guide was amazing, humorous, friendly.

My major complaint is they said "no indoor photos." Also, I would've loved to buy souvenirs about the place -- a magnet a baseball cap, T-shirt, bookmark, etc. Besides that, take the Double Tour (not just the Single) and enjoy.

We went to Solomon's Castle on a Wednesday, and it was very popular. You can't take photos inside, but this place is super cool! It was $16 for the castle tour. For an extra $6 you can head out to his barn for a bonus tour. We did both. The barn tour wasn't worth it, unless you like old Ford cars from before 1935.

Solomon's Castle

I just had to see Solomon's Castle. We went on a Saturday; I had no idea this was such a big attraction. The place was packed. Parking was limited. There was a wait time of 40 minutes to take the 45-minute long tour. So we skipped the tour and walked around taking pictures and had lunch at their own restaurant -- The Boat in the Moat -- which was good.

Mr. Solomon passed away in 2016 at the age of 81. Our guide informed us that her tour was scripted by Mr. Solomon, so the giggles and some groans remain included in the price of the tour. Mr. Solomon's daughter and son-in-law live on the property.
