Terrific day's outing. The owner is incredibly talented and the guided tour was full of light hearted banter and dry witty humor. The restaurant (in addition to his metal castle, he's built a "Boat in a Moat") is worth a visit.

Solomon's Castle

A delightful, wacky experience...way off the beaten track. The Boat in the Moat Restaurant is a delightful place to eat and the food is excellent. Don't miss the tour through the museum and pay attention to the surroundings...there are funny, imaginative, touches everywhere, from the "Rooms to Go" restroom building, to the "anchor" on the front of the Boat restaurant.

Solomon's Castle

We visited Solomon's Castle during his "closed" season to shoot a segment for Turner South. Just wanted to update your story. 1) The castle has now grown to 12,000 square feet, including an east wing with a guest room (the "Blue Moon Room", available for overnight stays); 2) Howard's parents have passed on and no longer live at the castle with him; 3) The castle is closed to the public during July and August.
