Shoe Tree Resurrection
We found a new shoe tree north of the site of the old Shoe Tree that's no longer there. It's about 3/4-1 mile north on the west side of highway 97, north of Shaniko, Oregon.

The Shaniko Shoe Tree and the Bra Tree next to it were cut down. There was no new brush fire. Somebody cut them down and burnt them on purpose.

There was a very full shoe tree located at milepost 53 on Hwy. 97 just north of Shaniko, Or. Someone recently burned the tree down. We are so very sad. It was a great attraction and very full of all kinds of shoes.

There is a great shoe tree at milepost 53 just 3-4 miles north of Shaniko, Oregon on Hwy. 97. Shaniko is Oregon's most famous ghost town. There is one large tree with many, many pairs of shoes. Then there are two smaller trees that people have hung flip-flops and other articles of clothing on.
