Was just at the World Potato Expo in my former home town of Blackfoot, ID. They have indeed added a simulated potato cellar complete with smell. However, the smell is kinda weak compared to the smell of a real potato cellar. You'd get a better effect sticking your head into a sack of dirty potatoes.
Was raining the day we went to EBR-1 so couldn't picnic under the atomic jet engines. However, a cute college chick took us on the tour. She could answer most of my questions (I love to test tour people to see if I know more than them.)
[Sheldon Townsend, 07/13/1998]In your coverage of the Idaho Potato Expo, you neglected to mention the free baked potato given to visitors. You don't even have to go to the expo, just walk to the other end of the building where the sign on the door says: "Free 'Taters For Out-Of-Staters"
Possibly to forstall a riot of hungry locals, there is also the legend:
for the local who is vocal."
