Far be it from me to disparage anything to do with the Man of Steel, but the Super Museum was a super disappointment. In my humble opinion it's as if they got off to a good start but then just gave up. A lot of the vintage memorabilia, radio and comics artifacts, TV and movie props and costumes are awesome... but unfortunately overshadowed by a lot of non-awesomeness. Imagine an overstuffed, partitioned off antique mall where you can't find anything because everything else is in the way.
But please do visit! Don't shy away! Support Metropolis! Just know what you're getting into. It's like shuffling through somebody's super-sized junk drawer.

Superman stands in downtown Metropolis Illinois. The town has adopted him and has several Superman and comic related events every year. There is a Superman Museum and the Americana Museum in town. Great place to visit!
