Goats on the Roof

Cute. Tourist trap. But the kids will love this place. Place to paint, pan for gold, feed goats. A great collection of redneck humor, ala Jeff Foxworthy.

Goats on the Roof

Tourist attraction mostly for youngsters: a craft and ice cream shop that actually has goats on the roof of its two buildings. They get from roof to roof via cable bridges. They graze on the grass rooftops. The children can send a bucket of feed up a hand-cranked lift that dumps the feed on to the roof for the goats to eat.

Goats on the Roof

Goats on the Roof is a clever little roadside attraction that definitely caught our eye. It's a quaint country store and ice cream shop that contains unique gifts and a gem mining attraction for the kids.

Even better than the stores are the fact that goats live on the tops of the buildings. There's a series of bridges that interconnect the buildings so the goats can roam freely. There are also interesting devices that allow you to feed the goats from either the ground or the balcony. Very original attraction and a definite must-see if you are headed to Tallulah Gorge or on your way up to Cherokee, NC.

Very cute little store. We live not far from there and my kids love to go and feed the goats. You can even do some gem mining! Good place to stretch your legs!

Goats on the Roof

"Goats on the Roof" is in reality a fairly average country store, but with one primary difference: There are goats on the roof. There are sky walks to several different buildings to allow the goats to move around with a couple of strange devices to allow kids to feed the goats.
