Sadly, Roller Garden has closed due to a combination of COVID and the owners wanting to retire. The dinosaur has been moved to the Minnesota State Fairgrounds, where it was displayed underneath the grandstand during the Fair of 2021.
[Tim Fischer, 06/08/2022]The owners are retiring, so the rink closed permanently on May 8, 2021.
[AmyC, 05/11/2021]The Roller Garden does still have the dinosaur that helped make it so famous, but it is inside the skating rink watching over the kids as they skate.
The dinosaur was on top of the building for approx. 40 yrs, but had to be brought inside when some kids removed him from the roof and brought him to school for a prank.
Over the years, he has been many different colors, and the kids always look for him.

Stopped to look for the dinosaur. He is no longer there. Not sure where he went. He must have been popular because they now have a painted mural of him instead.
[Chris Gemlo, 04/15/2010]We were there on 5/17/2009 and could not find the dinosaur. The roller rink is there. We ask a group of locals where the dinosaur was. They looked at us with blank faces and said they had no idea what dinosaur we were talking about.
