The Stenman family layered and pasted and rolled approximately 100,000 newspapers to make their dream home in 1929 -- and it's still standing. Looks normal outside... except for the "Paper House" sign hanging from its roof.

Stopped here after seeing on the list - fascinating! All on the honor system, and they allow pictures. I had trouble convincing my husband that yes, it was all made of newspapers. And to think they actually lived in this house for two summers after it was built!

Just visited the Paper House and it was as wonderful as you would expect it to be. The house is amazing, especially when you consider the amount of work that went into it.
