Eureka Springs, Arkansas: World's Largest Wind Chimes (Gone)

With their claim of largeness certified by Guinness, Celestial Windz, a wind chimes store, features tuned wind chimes almost 36 feet long. Reported now indoors, defeating natural wind chiming claims, if you ask us.

World's Largest Wind Chimes

Closed. Well, technically, the wind chimes have been moved inside and you have to make an appointment to see them. So....yeah. Closed.

World's Largest Wind Chimes

Went there today and the place was closed and the wind chime isn't there anymore. I was all excited about seeing it too! :/ The part where it was hanging from the tree and the platform built around the bottom was still there, but no wind chime.

World's Largest Tuned Wind Chimes

Guinness certified world's largest tuned wind chimes hanging from a tree outside Celestial Windz shop/gallery. These were impressive -- at least 40 ft long. You can chime them via the deck below, which was irresistible to the kids.

There's a drop box and sign proclaiming photos with the chimes cost $1. Honor system. There's also some very interesting outdoor art and a strangely adorned station wagon out front. We came upon it by accident coming from Turpentine Creek Big Cat Habitat, which also was a very worthwhile stop.

World's Largest Tuned Musical Wind Chimes

On Highway 23 just to the south of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, is the World's Largest Tuned Musical Wind Chimes located in the parking lot of The Celestial Windz Harmonic Bizaar. Proclaimed "The Herald on the Southern Gateway of Eureka Springs," the chimes consist of six tuned pipes up to 35 feet 10 inches long. That's almost 36 feet! Lovingly crafted by "Master Wind Chime Artist" Ranaga Farbiarz, the colossus was officially listed in the Guinness Book of World's Records in 2006.

These aren't your standard backporch wind chimes -- they weight in at 782 pounds and the sign out front reads "HUGE," pretty much summing it up. You might want to check out the "Singing Bowls" while you're there. Sadly, we didn't get the chance.
