It all started in 1935 in this otherwise unremarkable 2-story wood frame house. The Birthplace of Alcoholics Anonymous is a museum annually visited by thousands who've benefited from the program. A rock in the front yard is chiseled with "Home of Dr. Bob & Anne Smith from 1916 to 1950, Co-Founder of Alcoholics Anonymous." It's unlikely the gift shop stocks souvenir shot glasses or beer cozies.
