Speaking in Tongues Began Here

Bonnie Brea house is the birthplace of the Pentecostalism movement and it is where speaking in tongues began. The original porch collapsed under the weight of all of the visitors and the congregation was moved shortly after the accident. The Bonnie Brae house is located in a historic district of Victorian houses in Los Angeles, California. The homes in the district date to the 1890s and reflect Queen Anne and Colonial Revival architecture.

The house is open to the public for tours. You can either call or pop on over and hope to get lucky that someone will be there to let you in!
