- Kit Carson County Fairgrounds. I-70 exit 437 or 438. Go north past all of the fast food restaurants to the stoplight. Continue north, cross the railroad tracks and then take an immediate right (east) on a gravel road past Joe's Garage. Continue east past the baseball field and the Fairgrounds will be on your left. Turn into the Fairgrounds. The Carousel is housed in the large twelve-sided building.

The carousel is a work of art, with original wooden animals and paintings that have been restored. It still costs 25 cents to ride, and it is fast!

Able to ride a historic merry-go-round for a quarter. Museum is full of carousel artifacts and information, just a dollar to visit. Carousel is owned and operated by the people of Kit Carson County. Located at the Kit Carson County Fairgrounds.
