Houston, Texas: Eclectic Menagerie Park: Metal Sculptures

Over two dozen big sculptures include an armadillo, dinosaurs, King Kong, VW spider, and a giant fishing rod reeling in a pickup truck. They're made of scrap metal from Texas Pipe and Supply, which owns the land. Pipe welder Ron Lee makes most of them.

South side of the city. From W. Bellfort Ave. turn south at the stoplight onto the entry ramp onto southbound Hwy 288/South Fwy. You'll see the sculptures on the right, and there's a wide shoulder where you can park.
