Carved in 1941 by Carroll Barnes from a single redwood log. Stood at Camp Sequoia until 1956, then moved to the Paul Bunyan Lodge motel, then in 2001 moved to its present spot. 18 feet tall. Weighs three tons.

The wooden Paul Bunyan originally stood at the Camp Sequoia Cafe in Three Rivers. My parents visited the cafe in either 1951 or '52 and took a photo of the statue.

This chainsaw carving of Paul Bunyan is a couple of miles from the entrance to Sequoia National Park, on Highway 99 at Three Rivers, in front of the local museum. The fellow there said that once a year the town tree trimmer gets on his lift and puts the Santa hat on.

There is a huge Paul Bunyan and his blue ox in Porterville. The Bunyan statue is in front of the Paul Bunyan Motel and the blue ox is on top of the motel's restaurant named the Blue Ox. They can be seen if you are heading North on highway 65 in Porterville.

A 16-foot-tall, somewhat unusual version of Paul Bunyan -- bare-chested and without his signature cap. Carved from redwood, he appears to have a dead animal slung across his back.
