What a stop off of I-75 to stretch legs in this great park, with beautiful mosaic treble clef, piano benches, note-shaped benches and Ray Charles statue. He was not rotating while we were there. Thanks for the fun stop!
[EC, 05/04/2021]Ray Charles statue does rotate. Very, very slowly. Really neat. Look away for a minute and then look back... Ray is in another position!

It only revolves while the music plays. And it is really slow! Gave me the creeps because I never saw it move, but as I walked through the park, I would look back, and Ray was always at a different angle... What the? Great place to stop!

Very cute, musical themed park, with musical notes and piano keys in the walkways. The music of Ray Charles is playing from the sculpture as well.

The statue sits in a park by the river. The park has piano keys and treble clefts carved in the concrete and around the fountain. There is also Ray Charles' music playing from some fairly well-hidden speakers. We stopped by at midday, and the statue wasn't rotating when we were there - maybe it rotates at night?

It may indeed be timed, or only turned on for special occasions. Seems like it hasn't been there long enough to have already frozen up...
