Beautiful park honoring those from Bataan, the largest surrender in US history. Located in Veterans Park, which also had monuments for the Vietnam War, Pearl Harbor and more.
I was grateful for the Roadside America app, which led us to a place to continue honoring my husband's grandfather, who was a Bataan Death March survivor and POW. It was a perfect stop on our way to the Bataan Death March Memorial Marathon in White Sand Missile Range, NM.

The monument is both accurate and unsettling. The bonus: it's located in a Veterans Park next to a museum. The museum is free and worth the stop. It was open 9AM to 5PM when I stopped by.
