Metalmorphosis: Giant Head

Closed? Guessing this was the location by navigation, but looks like it's no longer here.

[Roy, 07/22/2019]

Because Metalmorphosis is a moving, mechanical sculpture that spits water, it's occasionally disassembled for maintenance and repairs. Unfortunately, the repair crew has been bad at announcing when the sculpture will be gone and when it will return. Metalmorphosis is one of Charlotte's most popular sights, so it will return -- but we don't know when.

Metalmorphosis is up and running! It is shifting and moving. No water coming out of mouth though.

Metalmorphosis - Giant Head

Metalmorphosis is reassembled, but does not seem to shift shape.

Metalmorphosis - Giant Head

Metalmorphosis is currently under repair, but worth a stop!

Metalmorphosis - Giant Head

The head has been dismantled for repairs. We talked with the security officer at the office park where the head resides, and we were informed that it will return in a couple of months.
