Lemongrove - Forest of Edsels

The Forest of Edsels are no longer available to the public. Members of our motorcycle club visited in April as part of a photo scavenger hunt, and all was well. On May 28, a member visited and reported the following:

"Today I found the site of the Forest of Edsels. I got a picture, but also found out that the property was sold about 2 months ago and they are in the process of removing the cars. I spoke to the new owner who made it clear to me that he would not welcome any more visitors from the [club name deleted]. At one point in our conversation he asked me if I was aware that I was trespassing on private property. I explained why I was there, hoping that he might allow other members to visit. He was not nasty, but said that he bought the property for the privacy and that he was also concerned that someone would fall and get hurt on the very rough driveway. He said that he will post the property and put a chain across the driveway. He has a beam across it now to alert him of visitors."

World's Largest Collection of Edsels

I tried to visit Lemongrove, the Edsels in Oxford PA last weekend, but it's really far back on private property. We had to drive 1/3 mile up a steep gravel driveway only to be met by the not-too-happy home owner. I just thought your readers should know that it's not public like most of your other attractions. It was cool though -- Edsels as far as the eye could see randomly parked in the woods, rusting away. It was like something out of a Stephen King story.
