The good news: what was formerly a deserted restaurant with an overgrown yard has undergone significant construction and cleanup and is now an inpatient rehabilitation center. Bad news: the Tucson Toro that stood outside the restaurant is nowhere to be found. I spoke with a center employee, but he had no information about the whereabouts of the bull.

It appears the restaurant is now gone, however the bull seems to be winning the good fight over the tree and weeds that may soon take over the front of the building.

It's been a few years since nearly all of the statues from Magic Carpet Golf were rescued and placed in new homes around Tucson. I would've thought that photos of all of them would have been sent to you by now, but there seem to be a few missing. Here's the former Magic Carpet bull, now outside O'Shaughnessy's Steakhouse. I remember seeing this guy in his original location, so it was very cool to see him again.
