In the late 1970's, "Mork & Mindy" was a popular sit-com. It launched the careers of Robin Williams and his co-star Pam Dawber. Miss Dawber played "Mindy", a college student at the University of Colorado in Boulder and Williams played an alien from the planet Ork aka "Mork from Ork," yeah I know, hilarious.
Over the course of the series, many exterior scenes were shot in and around Boulder, Colorado, primarily for the opening and closing credits. Also, some stock shots for establishing locale (or bump shots, as they're called in the "biz"), such as exteriors of Mindy's boarding house, the Pearl St. Mall in downtown Boulder where Mindy's father owned a record store, and the campus of CU itself.
The series was shot before a studio audience on a Southern California sound-stage, but a few times they returned to Boulder to shoot exterior scenes.
Mork & Mindy's house is currently a private residence, and when visiting, please stay to the sidewalk. The residents are used to the attention as long as you respect their privacy.
