Hot Sam's Antiques - Giant Guitar

Gladys Hood, owner of Hot Sam's, passed away Dec 21, 2010 at the age of 84. I did not know her personally, however had met her on occasion when I stopped by Hot Sam's to take pictures. She will be missed.

Hot Sam's Antiques - Giant Guitar

This must be one of the largest and oddest collections of antiques and eclectic items anywhere. If you like antiques and are intrigued by all things eclectic, all mixed with visual stimulation of old cars, useless and useful "stuff", including old railroad cars, old circus wagons, 50's cars in the woods, SS Minnow stuck in a swamp, etc., this is the place for you.

And then there is the history of Sam, the owner; and her past of being a stock racer, demo race driver, etc; many decades ago - that adds to this amazing destination.

Directions:: Hot Sam's Antiques. I-35 exit 81. Drive east a quarter-mile on Hwy 70/210 St. W. Turn right at stoplight onto Kenrick Ave. Drive south two miles, continue through traffic circle, then continue south another quarter-mile. You'll see the entrance on the right.
