Backyard Fairy Garden
Great place -- glad we stopped. Beware of dog. There is a large, unrestrained dog roaming the property. I would have liked to stay more than 5 minutes, but I did not feel safe.
[28, 01/04/2012]I have driven by this roadside site so many times in my life and have yet to NOT notice it. It takes up nearly a whole building lot. It was created by Joseph Laux. He used rocks, shells and broken china embedded in concrete to build this crazy bunch of castles and moats, bridges, baskets, and more. Though Joseph died in 1991, it is very well maintained and can be seen easily from the road in the yard that adjoins the home he lived in on Route 41 in Deptford.
