Silt, Colorado: Bare-Butt Rock Climber Sculpture (Gone)

Sculptor Blaine Peters created a sort of Shuman the Human tribute to rock climbers in 2009 lacking clothes, a face, and hands. The bare butt stirred controversy, with at least one attempt to dress it. Eventually removed.

Stands within the town's traffic circle at 9th and Main Sts.

Bare-Butt Rock Climber Sculpture

No longer this sculpture. Now it is a sculpture of two herons. So sad to see this gone. Supposedly it obstructed drivers' view and the mayor said it was also removed to re-brand the town. Removed May 2017.
