Topanga, California: Flying Pig on Pole

I lived in Topanga and I would see this pig everyday, and I so wish I knew the history or the reason for it being there, but there is nothing on it to indicate any purpose. I did learn that It has become a source of navigation... "if you pass the flying pig, you have gone too far."

The pig is now pink, again!

This pig is located on a stick down Topanga Canyon and has always been pink, as far as I can remember! I much prefer it pink instead of black!

A rather large pig with wings on a flag pole. I've seen it a couple time as a drove from Woodland Hills to Malibu on the 27. I finally stopped to snap a picture of it today and a man across the street told me that the pig was his. He told me he had just repainted it and that it used to have big eyes and huge eyelashes. I'm not sure how long its been there but it seems to be a local celeb. It's cute!
