Cold war military base where a large pyramid structure still stands. At one time it housed 30 nuclear missiles, but it's been closed since 1975.

Drove hours to get here, and while you can't enter the gates area a picture can be taken from outside the gates. We drove off the pavement to the gravel road for a better angle. Smoke from the western wildfires made things very hazy. There was no guard or sheriff to kick us off the road.
[Rose Howe, 08/06/2021]Pyramid under new management. I just got kicked off the compound by the sheriff --well, six of them in a Humvee -- conducting exercises dressed in military garb. You can still drive around the outside of the compound, but that's about it.
