America's 15th President -- considered one of its worst -- had a determined niece who fought to build a monument at his log cabin birthplace. The result is a 31-foot-tall, 300-ton rock pyramid in the woods.

Nice small park setting. There is a path with information about James along the way. Path is only a couple hundred feet long. The scenery is amazing. Quiet and serene.

[Tammy Blevins, 08/29/2010]
