Birthplace of Sports Illustrated Monument

Sports Illustrated magazine was invented by Henry Luce, who was not a sports fan but who believed that sports fans could make him a lot of money. A monument marks the spot where the idea was conceived, at the exclusive Pine Lakes Country Club.
