Birthplace of Sports Illustrated Monument

Sports Illustrated magazine was invented by Henry Luce, who was not a sports fan but who believed that sports fans could make him a lot of money. A monument marks the spot where the idea was conceived, at the exclusive Pine Lakes Country Club.

"Exclusive" is the correct word to use for this upscale country club. The monument sits to the left of the stairs at the golf shop. The Golfers there sure are nice!
