The magic shop that once housed Cletus the Smoky Mountain Merman went out of business and is no longer there. Cletus's whereabouts are unknown. There is a new magic shop on the top level with a very friendly owner that is more than happy to put on a show, and will personally teach you the magic behind anything you purchase.
[Andi Lucia, 03/01/2013]Hold on to your hats and pay attention, because you only get a 1.5 second view of Cletus once your quarter drops in the machine. Is he real or just a wax figure in a jar? Who knows?! But you can't resist the excitement of locating this little magic shop for a view of the infamous merman.

Ripley's in Gatlinburg has a Merman, but it's not the only one in town! The Magic and Novelty Outlet houses Cletus the Smoky Mountain Merman. You have to a pay a quarter to view him through a viewfinder.
He kinda looks like a frog in the jar, but its always cool to find a Merman.
