At last count, Three Bears had increased to four bears. Watch them eat while camera-carrying humans stand on the edge of their pit and yell, "Hey, BEAR!"

Pigeon Forge, Tennessee - Brutal Nature Can't Harm Bears In A Pit
Three Bears Pit: Nature's savagery was on full display in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, in the early morning hours of September 23. A raging fire tore through the Three Bears Gift Shop on the tourist mecca''s main drag, destroying it. Three Bears General Store

Don't think the three bears above the door is what this store is about. Go inside -- there is so much to see. Go up to the second floor and pay to go outside There are three levels in which to see the live bears and take pictures. The bottom level is where you feed the bears. On this day, two of the bears were sunning themselves and wouldn't budge. The third bear never came out of the tunnel. They look well-cared for and relaxed in their spacious home.

Three Bears General Store - Live Bears

We went into the Three Bears General Store ready to visit the live bears. It was later in the evening, and right at the end of the last scheduled feeding time. We were charged $3.25 to enter, plus the cost of food to toss to the cubs. We only noticed three of them. Well worth the experience, but as we exited, the people that were entering were told it was now free. The store itself is a mash up of different items and souvenirs, as well as fudge samples and a selection of sauces and trinkets.
