At 11 feet tall and 7,000 pounds, Fred "Mud Monster" Rogers is supposed to be endearing. Mostly he's just lumpy.

The lumpy Mr. Rogers statue along Pittsburgh's riverfront isn't as goofy as the Fredosaurus Rex statue elsewhere in town, but that's a tough standard to match. It's 11 feet tall and weighs 7,000 pounds, and was made by the same sculptor who created the large lumpy Albert Einstein in Washington, DC.
We're not sure why Pittsburgh decided that kind-hearted Fred Rogers should be remembered as a mud monster. He's frozen in the act of tying his sneaker, which Fred would probably like.
