Goblin Valley - Galaxy Quest Planet

Very cool! Easy access off 70 and plenty of freedom to just roam. Popular camping and 4x4 activities as well. Campground was full when we drove through.

Goblin Valley - Galaxy Quest Planet And Fun Photo Op

This is a fun place to hike around and easy for kids to scramble and stretch their legs. The hoodoos are freaky looking, and of course if you bend over just right in front of some of them it makes you look like you have a giant stone butt, which our kids felt was hilarious. Good way to get air and exercise and sun and not a dreary place at all.

A nice detour, and we were able to wander the three connected valleys containing the formations. Don't take the GPS-suggested four wheel drive track if coming from the south. The real (paved) turn-off is a few miles up the road.

Goblin Valley - Galaxy Quest Planet

The Galaxy Quest "fake goblin" is no longer at the visitor center. The staff are very nice. But they don't know much about the movie. The park is worth a stop if you're in the vicinity.
