International Cryptozoology Museum

The world began to take monsters seriously - as a tourist attraction, anyway - with the opening of the International Cryptozoology Museum on November 1, 2003. The Portland, Maine museum covers a menagerie of fantastic beasts, from celebrity cryptids like Nessie to less-familiar horrors such as the Mongolian Death Worm. Its most popular exhibit with kids is a ponderous pile of Bigfoot poop.

Lots of construction in the area. Easier to park on the main side and walk through the restaurant to get to the entrance.
