Lots of construction in the area. Easier to park on the main side and walk through the restaurant to get to the entrance.

All tips from before July 1, 2016, are invalid. We've moved to Thompson's Point, a spacious new entertainment venue with hundreds of parking spaces, on a peninsula sticking out into a river emptying into the Atlantic Ocean, at the edge of Portland. We've designed and built a new museum building just for us and you, our patrons!

Loren is an author and the visionary who created the museum. Its new location sounds as if it has excellent access to the sea -- handy if a Kraken surfaces nearby.

This place is silly and fun! Many exhibits, and you can take a photo by the Bigfoot! They are moving in the summer of 2016, so make sure to check their website for dates and new location.

Park in the pay lot on Shepley St. and walk to Avon St. Finding parking in Portland is horrendous!

International Cryptozoology Museum location moved, but was well signed. Parking a little tricky. We only had about 35 minutes, but that was enough.

Directions:
West edge of the city. I-295 exit 5A onto Thompson's Point Rd, or exit 5 onto Fore River Pkwy, then left onto Thompson's Point Rd. Follow Thompson's Point Rd across the train tracks, to the end. Parking lot on the left. Look for the Bigfoot statue out front.
Hours:
Summer daily 11-6. Off-season closed Tu. Local health policies may affect hours and access.
