Museum of Flying Plaza
The plaza was dedicated on March 21, 2009, and includes a statue of Donald W. Douglas, founder of Douglas Aircraft Company, and his dog. There are information panels about his planes during WWII, and a DC-3 named "The Spirit of Santa Monica" in honor of Douglas' maiden flight from Santa Monica Airport.
