This building, the former Wichita Airport Terminal, is known for mysteriously slamming doors and reports of "public announcements from another era." If you don't see any ghosts, there are still old planes to look at.

Haunted Kansas Aviation Museum
We went to the museum right after the new year, and enjoyed our time. We enjoyed the displays and flight simulators, but didn't encounter any ghosts. There is now access to the watch tower above the third floor, overlooking the Air Force Base.

The Kansas Aviation Museum is housed in the original Wichita Municipal Airport. There are 12 static planes outside as well as vintage aircraft inside that have been restored by volunteers. There is information about all of the early aviation pioneers and information about Wichita's part in World War II. There is an indoor playroom as well as flight simulators.
[Barb Kramer, 11/18/2019]They do have A/C now and a little gift shop. Fun activities for kids and adults.

I stopped at the Kansas Aviation Museum on my way through -- the word "haunted" caught my attention. While I didn't have any ghostly experiences (aside from a creepy feeling when I was alone in an area), the aircraft they have on display, as well as the "hands on" exhibits, made it well worth the stop. If you are into aviation, I'd say go there!
