We can confirm that Monorail Red has been removed. The facility next to it was closed, so we walked to the antique store next door to ask about it. We were told that the Monorail had been purchased by someone in the summer of 2014 and moved to somewhere in California.
[Craig & Katelyn Wingerson, 03/18/2015]I came by to see the monorail on March 8th, 2015 -- and it had been removed from the property. I was bummed.

The old monorail is up on a flatbed trailer and not on a concrete pad. It doesn't, however, appear that there is any intention to move it in the foreseeable future. They have added some decals to the windows for advertisement purposes, but it is freely available for you to get close and see the workings through the back. I didn't attempt to climb up on the trailer and think this might be frowned upon, but it would be neat to see if the interior was still the same as I remember when I rode in it at Disney.

The original Walt Disney World monorail, "Monorail Red," was in service at the resort from its opening in 1971 until 1989. After 13 years in storage, this monorail cab made the national news in 2002 when Disney put it up for auction on eBay.
It has now come to its "final resting place" atop a concrete pad between a consignment shop and lawnmower repair shop in Tyrone, GA, just a stone's throw away from Hopewell Confederate Military Cemetery.
