Kadie the Cow has been moved, as of April 2022, to the Uptown area. It is located at Woodruff Riverwalk Park. The area is dog friendly, has a food court across the street, kayak rentals, splash pad and is just a generally awesome area to visit.

Kadie the Cow, bovine behemoth, has been granted permanent residency on her grass patch by the city of Columbus. Alarms were raised in January 2019 when the current property owner, a Best Buy store, announced that it was leaving. Would Kadie -- who's stood on that spot since 1967, when the land belonged to the Kinnett Dairy (KD, get it?) -- be leaving, too? The city council ruled that Kadie was now so old that she qualified as a historical landmark, and gave her and her surrounding lawn the protection of a permanent easement (Kadie's sidekick calf was not so fortunate; it disappeared several years ago).
According to a story in the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer, city council members hope that some civic organization, such as a local Boy Scout troop, would volunteer to give Kadie a regular bath.

Calf is gone. Just a concrete base where it was. But cow is still there.
[Ed, 08/17/2015]In Columbus, Georgia, the little calf that magically appeared next to Kadie the Cow last year has been named "Bebe." Both cow statues stand in front of the Columbus Best Buy store, sponsor of the contest. Kadie is named after Kinnett Dairy, which stood on the property for decades....
[09/06/2004] Complete News StoryAlthough the old building that housed the dairy was torn down, Kadie the Cow was put back in place. She now stands in front of the Best Buy store on Manchester Expressway. She looks as though she has been cleaned up quiet a bit but that is only personal speculation. I was glad to see her returned to view -- she was a major landmark from my childhood memories.
